Put your drone to work!

This one-day class will help you prepare for and pass the FAA's Remote Pilot Exam in just 8 hours.

Are you interested in putting your drone to work? FAA regulations require that a person operating a drone for commercial purposes to have a remote pilot airman certificate. In order to obtain this certification, you must pass an aeronautical knowledge exam (commonly referred to as the Part 107 Exam). Some people spend weeks preparing for this exam. This bootcamp style course is designed to reduce the time required to prepare to 8 hours!

FAQ

  • What makes this course different from other online courses?

This training was designed from the ground up by a retired police officer and successful commercial drone pilot. I was one of the first people in the US to become certified under Part 107. I scored 100% on my recurrent exam so I know what it takes to achieve success and pass this exam. My style of teaching is down to earth. I am not here to talk over your head, I explain complicated concepts in easy to understand terms.

  • Once I take this course what else is required to get my remote pilot certificate?

You will need to to schedule your exam at an authorized FAA testing center. Once you pass the exam and complete the online application process you should receive your temporary certificate within a week. At that point you can legally operate as a commercial drone pilot. You will receive your Remote Pilot Credential in the mail in 4-6 weeks. This process is described in detail in the course.

  • Who should attend this training?

Anyone looking to use a drone for anything other than recreational purposes including: Emergency Government, Police, Fire, Rescue, First Responders, Land conservationists, GIS specialists, Photographers, Real Estate Agents/Photographers, Construction Contractors, Insurance Adjusters, Roofing Contractors, Utility, Tower Inspectors, Farmers

  • Can’t I just find what I need for free online?

There are many online resources available for you to study but many of these sources contain incorrect or outdated information. The information you will need to pass the Part 107 exam is not found in one place. The documents and books you’ll need to study contain hundreds of pages of text and charts. You’ll have to figure out which materials are relevant to the test. The whole process can be overwhelming unless you know what to focus your attention on. I've spent years refining and updating this program so you will receive the most current information.

  • What is your refund policy?

If you complete this course and fail the FAA's remote pilot exam, I will refund up to $160 (the cost to retake the exam). I will also provide up to 1 hour of tutoring online via Zoom to help you prepare to retake the exam. Proof of 100% completion of this course is required to be eligible for refund. The course software records the level of completion.

"Easy to watch, learn from and not lose interest"

by Mike Roemer

I took Titletown Drone’s 107 prep class in person with Bill back in the spring of 2019 and credit that course for me passing my exam on the first try with a 91. Two years later I’m using Bill’s online course to study for my recurrent exam and I’m finding it incredibly helpful. Bill is a wealth of knowledge on the rules and regulations on how to fly a drone legally and safely. I really like the way Bill has layed out this online training, easy to watch, learn from and not lose interest in. I highly recommend the course to anyone that is thinking of getting their FAA Part 107 license so they can start making money with their drone, but I also recommend it to anyone trying to learn how to fly their drone legally and safely as a recreational hobby.
